About Yoga





The goal of yoga is to feel better. By gaining physical strength and flexibility, we feel sturdier, sleep better, and even have greater focus and productivity in daily life.  By gaining emotional strength and flexibility, we learn to make better choices that allow us to stay independent from agitations that may surround us. This gives us more energy, tranquility and compassion.


Under the direction of Jennifer Durand, students are encouraged to commit to a daily home practice, as well as attend at least one group class weekly.  Through this highly individualized approach to feeling better, students come to understand and experience all yoga has to offer, creating balance in the body and the mind, in an intimate setting in which the teacher/student relationship is of the utmost importance.
