Posture, Balance, Jenetics: a fitness class for women

Fitness classes are so important as we age, but it can be quite a daunting task to find a safe environment that allows you to move and improve.  This class is designed to do just that, without fear of causing more pain or new injury, by filling the fitness needs of women living with limited mobility due to chronic illness such as fibromyalgia or forms of arthritis, or who simple suffer from fatigue, soreness or stiffness.

Jenetics was created by Jennifer Durand as a friendly, low impact way to keep the body strong and supple.  The class focuses on range of motion exercises, postural stability and strengthening, as well as breath awareness and basic meditative techniques for coping with chronic pain.

PBJ is a straightforward and simple program designed to keep you feeling confident in your balance, strength and flexibility.

Class #2: Yoga for the Pelvic Floor

for women of all ages

Too many women contend with uncomfortable conditions of the pelvic floor with seemingly little help to prevent and correct these problems.  It can be a difficult subject to discuss, but the more women are who willing to search for solutions, the easier that discussion will become!

Therapeutic Yoga is very beneficial in treating these issues, used successfully for everything from urinary incontinence to prolapse to tailbone pain.  Exercising the pelvic floor isn't rocket science, but it does take a concerted effort and guided awareness to condition these vital muscles.

Jennifer's extensive training and work with The Healing Yoga Foundation and pelvic health expert Tanya Goodrich, PhD,  has led her to devise a straightforward and simple program designed to strengthen weaknesses and loosen resistances.
